Venetian Blind Ranges & Features
There are several types of Venetian Blinds with 3 materials being used in different combinations
Wooden Venetians have wooden slats and a metal of reinforced headrail
The slat sizes available vary between 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 63mm.
The most practical being the 50mm with better stability and a smaller stack than the smaller slat sizes
Again the 50mm is generally the best option in bay windows. This is because in order to miss the handles the blind can be mounted further back and so provide a better fit
Faux Wood Venetians have a polyvinyl slat which is not effected by moisture in the same way as as wooden slats. This feature makes them ideal in Kitchens and Bathrooms or where high levels of condensation occur.
Aluminium Venetian Blinds come in 15mm 25mm, 35mm and 50mm options.
25mm being the most popular option as Aluminium does not have the stability issues that occur in a Wooden Venetian
They have lighter, thinner slats and so have a much smaller stack than wooden Venetians.
For use on door they are ideal when mounted in a Perfect Fit Frame
Privacy Venetian Blinds are manufactured with the hole for the operation cord at the very back of the slat.
The hole is then covered by the slat above then the are closed.
This increases both the privacy provided by the blinds as well as the room darkening.
Privacy slats are available on selected ranges of Wooden Venetian Blinds and Aluminium Venetian Blinds.
