About the Company –
Surrey Blinds and Shutters is a family run business that has been trading for over 12 years. We supply and fit many types of blinds, shutters and curtains and cover most of Surrey, along with sections of Hampshire and Berkshire. We have two showrooms based inside our sister company, Surrey Home and Gifts, in Walton and Farnham. Our ethos is fair, honest, trading and we take pride in our service and delivering a high-quality product.

Blinds and Shutters Installer
Being a fitter at Surrey Blinds is not easy, everyday has new challenges, but it is fun, exciting & full of rewards. With all the challenges that brings, we offer great support and a close-knit team.

A Typical Day Includes:
-Start in our Farnham Head Office
-Majority of jobs are within Domestic Properties
-Fitting a variety of Blinds, Curtains and Shutters, Including Fitting Child Safety to a high standard.
-A practical approach is also required to work out how the products can be fitted in unusual circumstances.
-Checklist to be Completed with the Customer along with a Demonstration of the Product
-Return to Farnham to Off-Load Any Rubbish
-Mark Off and Organise Deliveries, keeping the fitting area clean and tidy.
About the Job
-Full time Monday – Saturday, 40 hours per week (5 days in 7 – 9:00am – 6:00pm)
-Full Training Provided to ensure Blinds, Shutters & Curtains fitted to a high standard.
-To assist others around you to ensure they can fulfil their role to a high standard.
-To support the Directors with the day to day running of the business.
-To always act with Honesty & Integrity and to always do the right thing for the company and its customers.
-A full set is tools provided.
-Good Problem-Solving Skills
-Exceptional attention to detail providing quality workmanship on all fits.
-Good Upper Body Arm Strength
-Excellent planning and organisation skills, working to deadlines and using your own initiative to plan your workload and allocate time accordingly.
-Able to Work Solo or as Part of a team and contribute to improving efficiency and quality.
-Able to use an iPad or Tablet, iPhone or Similar
-Must be trustworthy & honest – even when things go wrong.
-Be ready to accept change and have a progressive mindset.
-Full Clean UK Driving License (Manual) with 3 Years Driving Licence
-Experience is not Necessary but a Good Knowledge of DIY Skills is Advantageous

Blinds and Shutters Sales Consultant – Walton on Thames
Join our no pressure sales team and become a sales consultant. Guiding Customers to window covering that will suit their needs via Zoom meetings or Showroom appointments.
About the Role –
Full time, 40 hours per week (5 days in 7)
Wednesday – Sunday 9am to 5:30pm
Based in Walton-on-Thames
6 Consultations a day for commercial & domestic properties
Mixture of Zoom Video Consultations & Showroom Consultations
Advise Customers on the best type of products to meet their needs.
Adopt a non-pressured sales approach.
To complete administration duties to a high standard.
To thoroughly clean equipment and work spaces
To assist others around you to ensure they can fulfil their role to a high standard.
To always act with Honesty & Integrity in order to always do the right thing for the company and its customers.
Some Training will occur in our central office in Farnham
We have a very clear no pressure sales approach and so WE DO NOT PAY COMMISSION, but instead insist that every customer is offered an excellent level of advice and service.
A full clean driving license is Preferred but not essential.
Highly motivated candidate
Practical mathematical ability to measure and make calculations are essential.
Excellent verbal communication skills
A practical approach is also required to work out how the products can be fitted in unusual circumstances.
Must be presentable and organised
Confident at using an iPad & computer
Able to provide lunch cover on the Surrey Home & Gifts shop floor
Salary – competitive on completion of a 90-day probationary period. Higher for those who are able to offer home visits
Full training on the products will be given
