Wooden Venetian Cord Consolidator Safety Video

Our Privacy Wooden Venetian Blinds include a cord consolidator — a child safety device designed to separate if a pulling force of under 6kg is applied. This helps prevent the formation of a hazardous loop, significantly reducing the risk of injury in homes with young children.

The consolidator joins the cords used to raise and lower the blind, and is built to activate automatically in the event of entanglement or excessive tension. Once triggered, the cords separate to eliminate the loop and increase safety.

The video below shows you how to reinsert the cords into the consolidator and restore the blind’s normal function. It’s a quick and straightforward process, but it’s important to follow the steps correctly to ensure the safety device remains compliant and effective.
