Intu Roller Blinds โ€“ A Sleek, Stylish, and Practical Solution

Intu Roller Blinds offer a contemporary and practical solution for window shading, combining a sleek design with enhanced functionality. Unlike traditional roller blinds, Intu blinds are specifically designed to fit neatly into the window frame, eliminating the need for drilling or screwing into the surrounding area. This makes them an excellent choice for modern homes, conservatories, and tilt-and-turn windows.

How Intu Roller Blinds Work

The Intu system allows the roller blind to be fixed directly to the glass using a discreet, slimline framework that integrates seamlessly with the window or door. This not only creates a clean and uncluttered look but also ensures smooth operation without interfering with window or door handles.

One of the key advantages of Intu Roller Blinds is their sprung tension system, which enables effortless movement. Unlike traditional roller blinds with a chain mechanism, the spring-loaded operation allows you to raise and lower the blind into any position without the need for cords, making them a much safer option for homes with children and pets.

Where Intu Roller Blinds Work Best

Intu Roller Blinds are particularly well-suited for:
โœ” Conservatories โ€“ The integrated design ensures a neat finish without the need for additional fixings.
โœ” Tilt-and-Turn Windows โ€“ Since the blind moves with the window, it allows full functionality without obstruction.
โœ” Smaller Doors โ€“ While they can be fitted to glazed doors, they are best suited to stable and rigid door frames.

Why We Donโ€™t Recommend Intu Roller Blinds for Full-Length Doors

Although Intu Roller Blinds can be fitted to doors, we generally do not recommend them for full-length doors. There are a few reasons for this:
โ€ข Roller blind runoff can impact performance โ€“ Unlike traditional roller blinds, the fabric moves within a tight space, and any slight misalignment of the door over time can cause the blind to run off-center.
โ€ข Doors donโ€™t always remain perfectly straight โ€“ As doors are frequently used and exposed to different conditions, they can shift slightly over time. This movement can lead to fraying on the edges of the roller blind fabric, especially if the door does not open in a perfectly linear way.
โ€ข Not ideal for high-traffic areas โ€“ For doors that are in frequent use, an alternative solution such as Perfect Fit blinds or vertical blinds may be more durable in the long term.
