Tensioned pleated blinds have guide wires which run through the fabric and along the length of the window. This clever design is what allows the blind to operate at varied angles, even when the blind is completely horizontal. The guide wires are tensioned with springs enclosed within the blind’s headrail.

The tensioning system means that the blinds can be raised or lowered into any position and will stay there to give you great flexibility.
