Solid Raised Panel

Solid raised panels give a traditional look and are great for a period property.

Traditionally shutters were made with solid panels, no slats and would often be folded into special cupboards built into the sides of the window recess. This type of shutter is incredibly attractive and offers full privacy and high percentage room darkening when fully closed.

Today, window recesses are rarely deep enough to be able to house the panels in this way. As an alternative solution many people fit the shutters at the front of the recess so the panels can be folded neatly, 180 degrees against the wall.

Solid Raised Panels are an excellent solution where privacy is not required and are available in all three styles; Full height, Cafe Style and Tier on Tier as well as on tracks, either bi-fold or bi-pass. Either way, the Solid Raised panel shutters look amazing.

They also have the advantage of improved blackout when used in bedrooms as there are no slats with small gaps. Solid panels are also a great option if you wish to use shutter panels across wardrobes.
