Shutters make a bedroom feel warmer, keep the room darker and offer excellent privacy. The most common shutter style used in a bedroom if full height, sometimes with a Mid Break to operate the top louvres seperatly from the bottom louvres. This handy addition enables the top louvres to be opened leaving the bottom closed for privacy yet allowing natural light into the room.

If light darkening is important then you may wish to consider a wider louvre. This will give less areas for light to creep in, keeping the room darker. If this isn’t enough however then we can always fit a blackout blind behind the shutter to improve room darkening further.
